He used to save life of even a small creature by his Ogho (the thing by which Jain Saints save small creatures by putting them at a safe place).  He firmly practiced five big oaths of a Jain Saint namely:
(1)   Absolute implementation of non-violence
(2)   Absolute implementation of not speaking a lie.
(3)   Absolute implementation of not to steal even a small or a trivial thing.
(4)   Absolute implementation of celibacy

Non-violence and pity on deaf and dumb creatures: He collected funds of crores of rupees to save the lives of deaf and dumb animals of famine-stricken areas. He successfully opposed the establishment plan of 56000 new slaughterhouses during the reign of NDA government in 2003-04.  Surprisingly, by his strong opposition the government had to drop the proposed plan of establishing 56000 new slaughterhouses.
He successfully opposed and stopped the modernization of the slaughterhouse of Devnaar (Maharashtra).

Remarkable virtues: Obedience to Guru, frankness, fear of committing sin, pure celibacy, loyalty to Aagam Granths  and scriptures, guide and trainer of many Jain saints, pure repentance, flag-bearer of Jain Shasan, introvert, pure and frank at heart, austerity, fearlessness and many more, may be uncountable. Even it is believed that the Goddess of Knowledge Saraswati felt difficulty in describing the virtues of Gurudev who is also known as “:Guruma” for thousands of Tapovani  students.

As the Upnishad Says “Schuchinaanm Shraddhanaam Gehe Yogabhrashtobhijaayate”. According to that saying, in the renowned family of Ravbahaadur Jivatlaal Prataapshi, Shri. Kantibhai as  father, and Smt. Subhadraben as mother, on Faalgun Sud -5 Samvat 1990, in the auspicious morning, at Andheri, great child borne. His paternal aunt named him as “Indravadan.”
Jinshaan at the very time o birth:
Having faith in Jainshaasan, religious mother Subhadraben uttered a great mantra in the ears of her son, “Son! Let you be the lamp of Jain Shasan.”
Future Prediction:
Pujya Premsurishwarji m.s. a revered great personality, whatever he used to speak actually happened in the world. He predicted, “Kantibhai! Remember, your son will be not yours only but he will be the invaluable assets of Jainshaasan.”

Face like Full Moon:
Increasing like month’s second day moon, with religious heritage of parents and paternal aunt, Indravadan became disinterested in the worldly pleasures at the age of nine. At the adolescent age of 12, his desire to renounce the world got intensified.
When Will I be a true Saint?
With the ascetic preaching of Guru Premsurishwarji’s beloved disciple Pujya Bhanuvijayji Maharaja, Indravadan started enjoying the piousness of austerity. Neither luxurious atmosphere of Mumbai nor the culture of school or college could change Indravadan’s mind to be a Jain saint. He used to go to college bare-footed, keeping a pot of boiled water in his hand. On the other hand, day-by-day, his desire to renounce the world was intensified. In his mind only one thing was running, “When will I be a true saint of Jainshaasan?”
Path of renunciation:
On the holy day of Vaishaakh Vad-6, Vikram Sanvat 2005, in the Bhaykhalla- a suburb of Mumbai , compound of Sheth Mothsha Lane Jain Temple, by the pious hands of god Premsurishwarji m.s., at the young age of 18, Indravadan renounced the world and started his journey of asceticism with full austerity. At that time, a large number of spectators astonishingly uttered, “Present Shaalibhadra has adopted asceticism.”

On the path of self-realization:
Before starting the path of self-realization, his Guru named him as, “Muni Shri Chandrashekharvijayji” and gave him divine power. At that time he was enthralled and every part of his body was full of joy because of taking renunciation. His respect and honour towards Guru increased gradually. By making his Guru’s command as his soul, his mind experienced extreme joy especially for adopting the monastic order of Jainshaasan.

Dharma Prati Mulbhuta Vandanaa:
From the very young age, due to rich heritage of previous birth (life), he got many virtues such as sincerity, generousness, politeness etc. After accepting the path of Lord Mahavira, his heart was full of respect for God, Gurudev and for all the elder saints. Hence, he used to bow down heartily daily for obliging Jain Shasaan and its various parts. He used to have great respect towards all the persons (VidyaGurus) who taught him even a small topic or thing. He believed that politeness is the root of all the religious activities and implementing that ideology, he had great respect towards all his teachers (VidyaGurus). He took special care of Panditvarya Shri Ishwarchandraji during his whole life.

Gurukrupa hi Kevalam Shisyasya Param Mangalam (Blessings of Guru is the only cause of all the auspicious things in our life):
He experienced the grace of late gurumaata (Pujya Premsurushwarji Dada) before he renounced the world. He used to recite and remember 350 new stanzas of Pakkhi Sutra and Pagaam Sajjaay within 4-5 hours only. He saw a great ascetic personality in his guru. Hence, he used to have great respect, faith and dedication to his Guru. Such a saint concentrated on his own soul, and disinterested from the outer world for continuous 16 years to get the grace and blessings of his guru. He used to be busy in the service of his Guru, celibacy and study of Shashtras. Such a vigilant ascetic recited 20000 stanzas. Every night, he used to revise 4000 stanzas. He wrote lakhs of stanzas. He worked hard to get invaluable blessings of his guru, and he got extreme level of blessings of his guru.  The entire Jainshaasan is experiencing the fruits of it.

My Gurudev is My God:
A saint having very soft body, used to lift his Gurumaataa very sincerely, and people used to surprise when they saw this scene.  He served as a doctor during the last five years of his Guru. Who don’t get surprised after seeing a millionaire’s son walking on feet and lifting 4 purses of medicines, water-pot and stretcher on his shoulder? Even he used to say to saints walking along with him “See, don’t get tired; we have got a golden opportunity of directly serving the God.”
“Shiv Swarupsya guro karunaa
Balam Astu Me Nishreyas Prapti Hetau”

Prediction of Suridev having great character:
When Guruma had only six years of experience as a saint, great Shaasan Prabhaavak Acharya Bhagwant Shri Labdhisurishwarji wrote a letter to Pujya Premsurishwarji and informed about many potential capabilities lying in Munishri Chandrashekhar Vijayji Maharaaj Saaheb. He said, “He will be a great savior of Jain Shaasan. You take utmost care to prepare him.”  Many great personalities saw the picture of huge banayan tree in this seed.

Purification of soul and increase in luck:
Strong implementation of commands of Lord Mahavira, if implementation is not feasible, then extreme favor of it, continuous purification of soul through confession etc. virtues created power of purification of his soul. On the other hand, fortune favored him due to increasing respect to Lord Mahavira and his Guru, great respect and devotion to elder saints, and extreme love to ascetic life etc. Because of his purification and fortune (Punya) he became the true leader of Jainshaasan.

Father in religious matters  -- Prabhudaasbhai Parekh:
When the Saint came to Rajkot, he started to study Indian culture, politics, and bad political games of Britishers from Panditvarya Prabhudasbhai Paarekh. Prabhusdasbhai evoked such a patriotic feeling of protection of religion that his speeches started to have extreme love towards Jain Shaasan.

Roar of Lion:
When he used to meet any Jain Shraavak (house-holder) from the region of Kutch or Saurashtra (Kaathiyawaad), they used to say, “When Chandrashekhar Maharaaj was delivering a speech from the stage we felt as if a lion roars in the forest.” Gradually, his roaring for protecting nation, culture and religion became stronger, when he saw destruction of them by Indians as well as foreigners.  Being a valiant saint, he never feared anyone while preaching to save nation, culture and religion. Moreover, he publicly criticized many prominent political leaders such as Indira Gandhi, Morarji Desai, Menka Gandhi, Shankarsingh Vaghela, Atalbihari Bajpai etc. for the welfare of nation.

Wake up Youngman!
Guruma not only woke up the lethargic young generation amongst the herd of sheep and goats but also joined many sons of Lord Mahavira to “Vir Sainik Dal.” i.e. Group of brave soldiers. He brought a revolution to protect Indian culture, nation and religion. He stopped the youth from joining modern westernized organizations such as Lions Club etc. but gave them direction to do creative work for  protection of culture, nature and religion. In a modern and luxurious city like Mumbai, thousands of young men gathered to attend his weekly religious camps (Shibir) in white uniform.
Good Merits (Punya Karma) – Yash Naam karma) was in his favor; hence whatever he declared in his preaching was heartily accepted and adopted by the young generation. When he inspired young men to worship Tirthankara with own means, the things for worshipping God such as aluminum boxes were quickly sold and those things were not available in the shops due to sudden demand.
If we can see numerous young men having black hairs, in Upaashraya (place of residence of Jain Saints), Jain temples, and preaching places; it is the result of efforts put by Panyaas Pravar Shri Chandrashekhar Vijayji Maharaaj Saheb. "All credit for bringing and diverting youth to Jainism goes to him".  We can listen such sentences from thousands of Jains. He was having the in-depth knowledge of current time, place and scenario of the society.  He got the mastery over the art of preaching the tough Jain philosophical ideas in a lucid, lighter and easier manner so that even a child or a newcomer can easily grasp it. Rightly, he work according to the saying “Old Wine in New bottle.” ( This proverb is used to describe a virtue of him.  And as per Jainism wine is considered as one of the biggest evil or bad habit. He inspired many to refrain from that habit. Wine is strictly prohibited in Jainism)
Late Gacchadhipati (captain of the entire group) Pujya Acharya Bhagwant Shri Bhuvanbhanusurishwarji Maharah Saheb used to say, “Chandrashekhar! Your preaching has a power to even awaken a corpse.”

God! I love your Shaasan the most.
He loved these four things very much; and if anyone tried to take any exception or misbehave in that regard, he could not bear it at all and used to get angry on him/her. These were: (1) God (Tirthankara) (2) Shaasan of God (Tirthankara) (3) All the living creatures – which are also the beloved of God (4) Purification of soul – which is also liked by the Almighty God the most. Moreover, he used to teach a strong lesson to the opponents of Jain Shaasan.
Hence, he successfully opposed the non-scriptural celebration of 2500th birthday of Lord Mahavira and stopped many renowned persons and got marvelous victory over such non-scriptural elements who wanted to cross the borders given by scriptures i.e. Aagams.
He successfully opposed and stopped the non-scriptural (Which is not according to Jain Aagams) play of Nem-Rajul.
He stopped entering many non-scriptural and evil-minded ideologists and philosophers in Gujarat. He opposed whoever acted or spoke against Jain Aagams.
He not only showed his readiness to sacrifice his life to save Jain pilgrimages such as Antarikshji (Shirpur- Maharashtra) but also awaken the Jain Sanghs of all across India by his lion-roars.
He has established comparatively less number of new Jain Temples but he established Jain Shaasan  (Jainism) in the hearts of lakhs of Jains and made them all devotees of God.
“We don’t want conflicts”. He implemented this line and stopped thousands of young men from bad conflicts and disputes and led their powers and talent to creative deeds. He diverted the power of youth from conflicts to creativity.

“Chandrashekhar   wherever you go; establish unity and harmony in Jain Sanghs.” – He followed and implemented this instruction of his late Gurumata and established unity and drove away conflicts in the Jain Sanghs of all across India. Hence, he was called as “enemy of none.”

Limitless Kindness:
His beloved Lord Mahavira’s kindness was spread in each and every region of his soul so he could not see anyone’s grief. In the same way, he used to become sad seeing the vices of many souls. He used to always keep himself busy in removing grief, problems and vices of others.
Samaritan to the Poor:
·         Free blanket distribution in severe cold of winter.
·         In the summer, free distribution of curd and chappals.
·         Relief centers in the flood-stricken and Tsunami-stricken areas.
·         Help to the society in the time of natural calamities such as earthquake, droughts, floods, starvation etc.
·         Mahavir Khichadi Ghar, established by his inspiration, provides one-time meal at free of cost to many hunger-stricken poor people in many urban and rural areas.
·         His kindness was spread up to the last man of the society through the donation of clothing, food, medical camp etc.
Shelter to the dumb animals:
He stopped erection of 56000 new slaughter houses as a part of five year plan by planning commission of India. Thus, he did a great work of compassion in favor of animals. He gave the biggest contribution to lakhs of animals – contribution of life (Abhay Daan).
He fought for many to stop the slaughterhouse of Devnaar. Consequently, the proposed expansion plan of it was dropped by the government.
He had put his sincere efforts to stop the export of meat. However, this dream of him remained unattained.  There is a challenge and duty for his disciples and followers to attain it at any cost.
During the three years of drought, he maintained the Panjarapols (place where stray animals are kept to survive).
Moreover, he saved many animals at the time of drought of Bundelkhand (M.P.).
He was having such an extreme feeling of kindness that even the crying of a sick dog could not let him sleep during night.
He never missed to take active participation and interest in many court cases for saving the animals from cruelty and for stopping the slaughterhouses.

Protection of religion:
Lakhs of people purified their lives by taking bath in the holy wave of his speeches which started in Samvat 2024 Chaturmas (four months stay at one place in monsoon) of Limbadi.
He delivered many religious lectures on Ramayana and Mahabharata. Thus, he prevented the common people from sins and inspired them to join religious activities.
He purified the lived of many young boys and girls by accepting their confession.
By joining thousands of young men into Akhil Bharatiya Sanskruti Rakshak Dal and Vardhaman Sanskardham, he stopped them from joining the modern organizations and made them true followers of Jainism . Thus, he made their life virtuous.
By conducting religious camp for women, he ignited bravery in women, by protecting their character and virtues.
He spread the fragrance of religion in the lives of many children by establishing Tapovans and conducting religious camps for children.
He spread Indian culture and religion by conducting many programmes such as protection of pilgrimages, purification of temples, tours of temples and villages and many more.
He stabilized many people in Jainism by sending thousands of young men in various places of India and abroad to help them to conduct the rites and rituals of Payurshana.
Protection of Indian culture:
He was not only a canvasser of Arya (Indian) Civilization which was enlighten by the king Rushabh, but also a protector of it. Whenever he found anything in contrast with the principles of Indian culture, he had blindly jumped into opposition of it. Many times, he used to get angry in his strong and acidic lectures. Consequently, many persons having good fame in society had to accept their mistakes and to come back to the right path.
Protection of Nation:
He spread crusade against the terrific attacks from foreigners on Indian culture. He met and had friendship with many Hindu saints. He persuaded many of them. He utilized many hours of life and abilities to persuade them for protecting the Indian culture and boycotting the western culture.
He continuously put his efforts to persuade lakhs of Jains and non-Jains to have feeling of patriotism.
He roared against traitors (persons who are not loyal to the country) and constantly kept the society vigilant. He prevented thousands of Hindus from becoming Christian.
In real sense, he was a patriot and a true favorer of Hinduism. Hence, many of the top leaders of RSS (Rashtriya Swayamsevak Sangh) and VHP (Vishwa Hindu Parishad) used to give him immense respect.
Sharp writing same as his sharp speech:
He was having deep knowledge in the spheres of nation, culture, religion, Jain Sangh, society and family system. By using that knowledge he created 275 great books on various subjects from Jainsm to current politics. From those books even today we can wake up the society as if he is still alive.

Unlimited feelings for Jains having poor financial status:
His soul always used to remain sad due to poor financial status of several Jain families. He was so sad that he lived his life with simplicity. With his inspiration many Jain families in Ahmedabad, Mumbai, Surat and Navsari got their own houses scheme. Thus, he provided shelter to these families. Even when he was sick in Sterling Hospital-Ahmedabad, he cried due to sympathy with the Jain families having poor financial status.
Lastly, in Amiyapur Tapovan he instructed me, “Hansbodhi! You take special care of Jain families having poor financial status.”
Adopting this ‘guru-mantra’ sentence I took the challenge for betterment of these families. Consequently, the work of betterment of such families is going on. All such families of Ahmedabad and a few families of Gujarat are being benefitted because of many financial aids such as educational aid, conducted with the inspiration of me (Munishri Hansbodhi Vijayji M.S.)

Awakening of new generation by two Tapovans:
With his remarkable insight and knowledge of present time and location he worked hard to protect the new generation of children.  By maintaining customs and principles of Jainism in Tapovans he gifted a peculiar education system of Tapovan for new generation and thus obliged the whole Jain Sangh. Late Gacchadhipati (Chief leader of group) Pujya Acharya Bhagwant Shri Vijay Bhvanbhanusurishwarji supported him this work and many other great deeds for the service of Jain Shaasan.
By religious camps of children, youth and women and preaching to female ascetics etc. he continuously tried to spiritually uplift their lives. He joined the Jain Sangh to the devotion to God. He touched each and every part of Jain Sangh and Jain Shaasan.
He served to the Jain Shaasan by being a guide in several matters such as Pathshaala (religious schools where students cram up Jain stanzas) , Ayambilshaala (place to eat food without oil, ghee, jiggery, spices and vegetables), Vihaarsthaan (Place to stay for saints while going from one city another on feet).
Amongst various activities of welfare of others he maintained top most standards and principles of his ascetic life. We cannot do welfare or wellbeing of others without protecting level of our own purity and asceticism. This sentence had become a part of Guruma’s life as if a part of body. He never took any exception regarding basic principles of Jainism. Thousands of people say, “Guruma is in the hearts of lakhs of Jains not because of his impressive preaching but due to strictness in implementation of principles of Jainism.” Hence, he became a respectable and lovable person amongst all the four sects (Shwetambar, Digambar, Stahnakvasi and Terapanthi) of Jainism and his followers.
Fear of taking birth again and again (fear of rebirth):
His vision for the next birth was so developed that he always feared of committing any sin. He always remained effortful to remove his mistakes by condemning them and considering even a small mistake of him as a big one. He used to weep like a child in the lap of his solace-giving guru—presently Gacchadhipati  Pujya Acharya Bhagwant Shri Jayghoshsurishwarji Maharaj Saheb. He used to confess very frankly and open-heartedly to pujya Jayghoshsurishwarji. He used carefully do fasting etc. considering as repentance.
If anyone asks me which peculiarity of your Guru attracts you the most? I will immediately reply, “Guruma was having immense fear of taking birth again and again i.e. fear of rebirth.  Consequently, he used to have continuous fear and unwillingness towards committing even a small sin.
He was so much sad because of mistakes committed by in exceptional cases that he used to literally cry during his preaching in front of the audience.  “Ocean of tears is Pujya Guruma.”

King of unselfishness  -- Gurumaiya
In spite of having merits of being Acharya (a third designation in Jainism), he never accepted that designation.
He never accepted any type of honour or respect.
He never desired various designations such as Acharya, Upadhyaya, Panyaas, Gani etc.
He never felt proud of having 87 disciples or being a great preacher of Jainism.
Most of the times, he kept himself away from the welcome-ceremony with bands, elephants, horses etc. or any type of pomp.
Chandrashekhar = Shankar.
He swallowed the sips of various insults and negligence.
He made himself immortal by serving the Shaaasan of Lord Mahavira even after  swallowing the draughts of insult, negligence and protest.
Imperceptible and mysterious shape of Guru:
I stayed at Opera Jain Sangh after completing Chaturmaas (Stay of four months of monsoon at one place) at Shri  Kunthunath Jain Sangh Paldi. Then one Jain house-holder  (Shraavak) came and told me “Guruma has even written the time of his demise (Kaaldharma).” (In Jainism demise of a saint is called Kaal Dharma. It means the time performs its duty to send the soul from this body to another. So it is rightly called as Kaal Dharma.)
I asked him “where?” He replied, “In the last pages of his book “Vishva Shanti no Mooladhar” (Basic solution for peace of the world).
I brought that book from Kamal Prakashan  and really got surprised after reading the incident (prediction) of Guruma’s own demise (Kaal Dharma).  In this book Guruma had not only mentioned the timing of 12.40—Victorious Muhurta of his demise but also written the verse which the disciples were going to speak in the ears of him in the last moments of his life. The verses were the stanzas of “Chattari Mangalam” and “Santhaara Porisi”.

After reading this chapter my heart felt grief because I could not recognize the Guru who was the incarnate God. I will be full of remorse till my last breath for that.
Consolation amongst Shock:
I was exhausted because if religious camp of Shravan Sud-9 so I was taking rest in the morning of Shravan Sud-10.
At 11.30 a.m. mother-hearted Sadhviji Shri Mahanandashriji told through Niruben  ,”The health of Guruma is serious.” Pujua Dharmabodhi vijayji and I immediately went to Ambawadi Upashraya. The situation took a turn. From 11.45 a.m. to 12.40. p.m. I got an invaluable opportunity to say last Stavans etc. to give Guruma indifferent mental situation towards the world.
“Guru your virtues are endless; How can I describe?”
Whenever his sister used to come to bow him, he used to got scared. He forced her to go out immediately after bowing. Even with his sister he took this much care, then we can imagine the height of his purity regarding celibacy?

He not only kept himself away from opposite gender but also kept on warning his disciples by making them vigilant regarding importance of celibacy.
Late Pujya Muktichandrasurishwarji m.s. told Guruma, “Chandrashekhar! You will face many obstacles-objections but no one will be able to point out at your character.”
He was the Supreme Being as the emblem of truth. We cannot describe his virtues even if we write for years and years. My pen does not allow me to stop but to avoid writing lengthy matter. Now I want to stop here.
That Shravan Sud- 10 became remorseful:
Great men remain indifferent regarding their body. When the pain was continually increasing Guruma became more enduring. Day-by-day body was withering. Guruma liked it because it would cause less usage of woods at the time of cremation and consequently less violence. He used to say this even in his preaching. On one direction diseases were attacking on Guruma, on the other hand, at the same time, Guruma was attacking on his sins such as attachment to the body and the world.
He started a fight against Karma Raja by increasing the level of indifference and unbiasedness by implementing the Jain philosophy which he had by-hearted during his life.
Reverred Guruma became more and more pacified. At 12.40 p.m. –victorious muhurta, Guruma left the mortal body and went on an eternal journey; while listening to peaceful songs of Prasham and Samprati.
Dr. Sudhirbhai, Dr. Kirtibhai P. Shah. Dr. Navnitbhai, Dr. Himanshubhai, Vaidhraaj Pranavbhai etc. put solid efforts to save Gurudev. Guruma’s beloved disciples Pujya Panyas Indrajit vijayji m.s. , Munishri Dharmabhushan vijayji m.s. Munishri Shilrakshit vijayji m.s. etc. saints served to Guruma very sincerely. Lifetime devotee of Guruma Lalitbhai Dhami, Rajubhai Shah, Yogeshbhai, number one in serving—Amitbhai Shah, Prakashbhai, and ex-tapovani Tejas, Jinay, Nirwan, and Chintan etc, served to Guruma a lot.
In the presence of Pujya Jinsundar vijayji m.s., Munishri Dharmabhushan vijayji m.s. and I and other saints and Sadhviji Vasantprabhashriji, Mahanandashriji, continuously serving trustees and members of Ambavadi Jain Sangh etc., while listening  to verses stavans, Navkar Maha Mantra, Santhaaraa Porisi,  keeping the devotees crying Guruma left his mortal body.

Pujya Panyas Shri Malaykirti vijayji m.s. and Muni Shri Hanskirti Vijayji M.S. etc. saints came from the places where they stayed for Chaturmaas. Bid of funeral crossed to crores of rupees. Lakhs of people came to see the mortal body for the last time. Thousands of people joined the palanquin which was more than 20kms long. The voice were resounding across the ambience,  “Jay Jay Nanda Jay Jay Bhadda” and
“Dekho Dekho Kaun Aaya??
“Jin Shaasan ka Sher Aaya.”
“See, who has come?”
“It is the lion of Jain Shasan.”

The palanquin came to the compound of Tapovan after travelling the distance of 20 kms. Amongst the 15000 devotees, Sandipbhai Vasantlal Shah and Mahavir Sampatlal Shah Banarasi of Bardoli performed the cremation rituals. At that time, all whosoever were present there, wept bitterly.
